Wilson’s Story

I first saw him in 2019! As I looked across a sea of children, his cheeky grin immediately caught my eye.   He had the most infectious smile. Can you imagine the excitement when I saw Wilson almost 2 1/2 years later?  In Uganda, the harsh reality is that some children will not even live to be 5 years old. To see a child again after 2 years in lockdown, now dressed smartly in his school uniform and shoes … my heart was bursting with JOY.  We are incredibly thankful for each one who gives to change lives and make a difference for the one!

We’re thankful through the work at I GOT SHOES charity, one pair of shoes enables Wilson to continue in education, protect him from disease and most importantly, show him that he matters!
